The Black Culture Collective Official Launch Event

Join us as we officially launch the Black Collective CIC to the community at our Black History celebration event.

We will be celebrating the rich and vibrant history and cultures of the African and Caribbean countries represented by members of our local community whilst introducing you to the amazing work we do to create, deliver and commission high quality engaging arts and culture projects.

We will be announcing the winners of our Connected Communities small grants fund 2024 and showcasing past winners of the projects we commissioned with support from the Peabody Thamesmead Culture Team.

We will also be sharing you how you can become a member of the Black Culture Collective at the special discounted rate on the night.

Time:4pm till 8pm (Registration 3.30pm)

Dress code: Casual smart or cultural attire.

Tickets: this is a free event however donations are welcome. Please note you will not be permitted entry without a valid ticket so please book your tickets now.

What to expect on the night:

• Red carpet reception
• A showcase of local artists and creatives
• DJ, Cultural performances and entertainment
• Black History Quiz with prizes
• Special guest speakers
• Cultural discussion
• 2 course African and Caribbean meal and mocktails
• Afrobeats, reggae, hip hop and old school R&B music to dance to.

This is not a pop in event, we recommend that you arrive for registration at 3.30 for a prompt start at 4pm.

This is a ticketed event; entry will not be permitted without a ticket so please book your free ticket to attend.
